KEYLA CHILDS
Keyla Starr Childs is a Charleston, South Carolina native. She was born on February 20, 1994 and is the daughter of Kenneth and Debbie Childs.
Keyla iis a graduate of Summerville High School, where she enjoysed cheering on the Green Waves football and baseball teams. Keylavolunteered since the ninth grade with Dorchester County EMS, learning how to help others in case of an emergency. She spent most of her weekends volunteering with Make a Wish Foundation, MUSC Children’s Hospital, Girl Scouts of America, St. Jude Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Relay For Life, just to name a few. She has a deep love for animals, having three horses and four dogs. Keyla would love to have a rescue center to help all types of animals.
Keyla currently attends Newberry College where she will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design. She has recently been named to the Newberry College Dean's List for the Spring 2015 semester.
Students named to the Newberry College Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
